What brought you to Smith M.F.A. in dance?
As I began researching potential M.F.A. programs, I kept meeting recent graduates of Smith who spoke so highly of their experience and recommended I look into it. Over several years, my awareness of the Smith M.F.A. in dance program gradually deepened. The legacy, the faculty, and the heart of Smith College seem to speak for themselves, and their values resonate strongly with me. As a returning professional, I am seeking a program that both honors my previous performance experience and supports the newer goals I am eager to pursue.
What do you hope to achieve through this program?
Through this program, I hope to usher in a new chapter of my dance career. I am eager to expand my skills as a teacher while having the structure and support to develop my own work and weave my various interests into research at Smith. I also look forward to having the time and space, surrounded by the mountains, to deepen my voice as both an educator and a maker.
