Layla Ramirez ’09 is the founder & CEO of FirstOnes Collective, a firm dedicated to cultivating and nurturing the voices and dreams of first-generation professionals. She has more than 10 years of experience leading global diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives and coaching C-level executives for organizations including Amazon Web Services, Netflix, Danaher Corporation, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow.
A certified coach and an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator, Layla is fluent in Spanish and proudly identifies as an Afro-Latina with Dominican roots. She is both a first-generation college graduate and first-generation business school graduate, and is the first in her family to start her career in corporate America.
Layla is well known for coaching the whole person and for asking generative questions that help leaders get unstuck. She takes pride in helping clients define success on their own terms and then helping them stay accountable to achieving that success.
