Biography
Katrina McGhee ’01 is a seasoned career break and sabbatical expert, a certified master coach with an M.B.A., author of Taking a Career Break for Dummies and co-founder of the BreakSpace community. She’s been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, NBC, and Smarter Travel for her expertise as a career break coach, digital nomad, and travel advocate.
In 2013, Katrina left her corporate job for a 20-month break to travel the world. Upon returning, she secured five job offers in just five weeks and later pivoted to launch her coaching business. Since then, she has guided over 100 mid-career professionals through life-changing breaks, helping them return recharged, inspired, and happily employed. Katrina is passionate about empowering others to design meaningful lives and transformative breaks and champions travel as a powerful tool for personal growth and global empathy.
