Biography

Adrie Rose is the editor of Nine Syllables Press at Smith College, where she runs the first literary press at a historic women's college. Her work includes teaching two classes offering professional practice opportunities for students, The Chapbook in Practice: Publishing and The Chapbook in Practice: Design. In these classes, students learn about the publishing industry and are involved in every aspect of the press, from reading submissions to our chapbook contest to designing the winning book's cover and interior.

Her chapbook Rupture was published in 2024 by Gold Line Press, longlisted for the MA Book Award, her chapbook I Will Write a Love Poem was published by Porkbelly Press. Her third chapbook Dear, is forthcoming from Sundress Publications. She holds a Poetry MFA from Warren Wilson College. Her work has previously appeared in Prairie Schooner, Poetry Northwest, Graywolf Lab: Games, Beloit Poetry Journal, & she has won the Radar Coniston Prize and the Anne Bradstreet Prize from the Academy of American Poets, among others.
