SCMA Second Friday

Join us from 4–8 p.m. for an evening of art, making, and community at the Smith College Museum of Art. Galleries are open until 8 p.m.

From 4–7 p.m., create beautiful “floating chalk prints” that capture color-speckled impressions from the surface of water sprinkled with chalk dust. Be prepared to potentially stick your hands into tubs of water—short sleeves are recommended. Tongs, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be available. Leave your art to dry while you venture to the third floor to see color-filled Impressionist paintings of landscapes, seascapes, and architecture in SCMA’s collection. 

From 4–8 p.m., stop by the pop-up exhibition in the Cunningham Center on the second floor.
