The annual China Town Hall, organized by the National Committee on US-China Relations in collaboration with local partners, provides a snapshot of the current U.S.-China relationship and examines how that relationship reverberates at the local level – in our towns, states, and nation – connects people around the country with U.S. policymakers and thought leaders on China.

This year's event at Smith College will include a live-streamed panel discussion on "The First 100 Days: President Trump's China Policy" featuring three leading experts on China and US-China relations: Lingling Wei (Wall Street Journal), Ryan Hass (Brookings Institution), and Matthew Turpin (Hoover Institution). An in-person conversation between Sara Newland (Associate Professor of Government, Smith College) and Yangyang Cheng (Research Scholar in Law and Fellow, Paul Tsai China Center, Yale Law School) will follow.
